Power Shift to the Individual
HEALTH
Healthcare in the USA will move away from being provided by employers. That was from the old model where power rested with companies. In the new model, healthcare will either be up to the individual (total pay as you go) OR will be provided for all but with caveats where those who take care of their health are rewarded.
EDUCATION
In the new model, education will have a basic provision for all, but with expectation for continued learning and education for all throughout their lifetime. Continuing education and training for the individual will be expected and much of the education will not be on campuses, but will be distributed through web-conferences &/or training on the computer & computerized skills development simulations.
ECONOMY
Provisioning and saving a portion of people’s salary for retirement will be part of the new economy. This is similar to the “lock box” approach that VP Al Gore discussed in his debates when he ran for president. Banking, stocks, and money management will continue to be decentralized and done remotely via the internet, managed and accumulated as an individual.
SPIRITUAL
Individuals will recognize they can have their own spiritual experiences and be in charge of their own spiritual growth with or without a religion. Religions will continue to serve as community support and connection rather than the sole means for one’s spiritual growth and empowerment.
THE NEXT PHASE
As this shift starts to settle in, there will start to be new growth and development in the community. Individuals will start to collectively come together in ways that will re-energize and refocus on the needs of the community in a way that is balanced with the individual needs. The growth in collective community will grow and enhance to the next phase of human development, which is the rejoining and collection of “groupings of power”.
Part of this process will be enhanced with the collection of individuals who have expanded and created their own personal spiritual energy and with it, have created new energy frequencies within their spiritual self. It will be those common types of personal energy frequencies that will start to come together and help create new groupings of collective individuals who have similar focus, purpose, and energy.
Being a part of these transitions and changes is exciting with much opportunity and wonderful changes taking place. This is a great time to be helping as well as witnessing these changes that will impact and improve humanity’s progress.

Housing
To try and break the cycle of poverty, it could be beneficial for people from diverse income levels be sprinkled together and live in closer proximity to each other. Currently those who have a low income are surrounded by others who are also living in poverty. As a result, people don't associate or even see people with different backgrounds, skills, and even jobs. They often don’t have the opportunity to share and see people with different life experiences than they those who are also living within that same cycle of poverty. Here is a recommendation of a possible change:
When a new apartment or condominium is built, a certain percentage of the apartments or condos could be assigned for low income housing. Those homes assigned for a low income person could be assigned by lottery and mixed in with homes where more moderate and higher income people live. This could provide the opportunity for those from a low income level live and mix with those in higher income, and probably a nicer community.
The networking of all types of income ranges could be meshed together in this new type of community by living in similar surroundings. People of low income could have the ability to network with those who may have been in a different class structure than the type of low income housing model we have now. The "cycle of poverty" may even be curtailed when people with diverse backgrounds can come together and live near one another.

The Bush Years
When Obama is asked what he is going to do when he becomes President, part of his answer is couched in what he is not going to do. We know he is going to do things differently from the GW Bush era. If there is one benefit we have from the Bush years (and believe me, I think this is the only benefit), we learned what it is we don’t want to be, what we don’t like, and what needs to be changed. Here are just some of the things that have gone wrong with the Bush administration:
- Rushing to war with a cowboy mentality that encouraged our friends to stand aside and not be part of a global decision
- Discounting the environment and global warming resulting to violent weather changes in our world
- Allowing lobbyists to make the rules and set policy that benefits their own companies rather than the benefit of the nation (greed vs what is right).
- Escalating and expensive war in Afghanistan & Iraq
- Censorship, secrecy, cover ups and lies in the highest of government offices
- The privatization of war with different expectations, rules, pay, and accountability
- No bid contracts given to "friends"
- Money distributed for war & disasters with absolutely no accountability and no tracking.
- Soaring energy prices with essentially no energy policy
- A worsening economy and corporate failures
- Rising unemployment
- Corporate bail-outs and corporate welfare without any reforms
- Failed disaster relief (Katrina)
- Failed education program (No Child Left Behind Program produced new rules but with inadequate support and funding)
- Inadequate Veterans Healthcare
- More citizens with no access to healthcare
- Medicare drug program benefiting selected companies rather than Seniors
- Guantanomo Bay, torture, continuous Human Rights Violations
- Creating an environment of cxclusion (with the me vs you mentality. comments of “You are either with me or against me”)
- Creating an atmosphere that gave loyalty a higher priority than integrity, truth, or fairness
- Blurring religion with government
- More secrecy
- Privacy of our citizens is no longer protected and more government spying.
- A lack of inquisitiveness, discussion, and exploring alternatives
Soon we will have new president and a new administration. And what most of us are excited about is that we no longer want to be defined by President Bush and his administration. We demand fair government. We demand a truthful, honest, and open government that supports the citizens and not those tied to the Presidency. We expect integrity. We want the government to be accountable and who gets our money to be accountable. We expect results without excuses. We want our environment protected and an end to the Wars. We expect to have heath care for all our citizens.
The Bush years have been like being married to a secretive and abusive husband; lies, spending the household money, and ignoring the suffering of the family. We finally have the collective wisdom in this country to say “NO MORE” with this last election! We have learned what we don’t want in a leader by living (and surviving) through the Bush years. We deserve better and we are hoping and expecting Obama to be better. Much better.
So, to GW Bush, a thanks for helping to clarify what it is we don’t want and don’t want to be. The service you provided helped us come to agreement on what we are NOT. To President Elect Obama, we expect more from you. We expect you to focus on main street’s needs and help us create the kind of nation we can once again be proud and honored to live in. Don't let us down.

Dissemination of Power
Many thousands of years ago the concentration of power was only with a few people, such as the tribal leaders, governors, or kings. This is where the power of the community resided. And then there was a push to disseminate and share power outward. There was a shift of energy that occurred and helped facilitate this change within humanity. We then saw power being disseminated by religious leaders. Power then was shared between those who were in charge of tribal order (kings) and those in charge of the religious order (Priests). Eventually the energy expanded and changed again and there was another dissemination of power but this time the power was shifted toward the creation of rules to help disseminate guidelines and judgments to more people.
Eventually another change of energy built and there was rise of power by those who had money. This was the rise of power by merchants. This power was based on money and economic power.
We are now in the process of experiencing another energy shift within the world and once again we are witnessing a shift of power outward. This time the energy and power is disseminated to even more of the masses. This power shift is being witnessed by the dissemination and access to information. We see the results of this energy shift and empowerment of the individual with the use of the Internet and the interconnection of the world.
In this new era we will see even more individual empowerment. We will also see that as people become more empowered, the institutions around us must change. People will demand that government listen to its people, and we are witnessing such a change in the USA. The general population is demanding change within government, such as accountability, listening to the needs of the people rather than to lobbyists, more openness is decisions.
Empowered people will expect and demand their religious leaders to have integrity, treat people with fairness, respect, and love. We are seeing these changes occur in the Catholic Church where Priests who abused children are now being held accountable. We are seeing that evangelical Christians are also no longer accepting leaders with sexual or money laundering scandals to continue in positions of leadership. Churches will need to pay attention to their congregations expectations. Churches that continue to use the top-down approach and expect total compliance will find their pews empty and no one interested in their dogma. Churches will required to listen from their empowered people to survive in this new era.
News and information is already shifting from network TV stations, then to cable, and now to the Internet. More information options will provide people with more awareness and more options and different expectations. Communities are no longer based on physical geography or the family gene pool. Communities are now shifting outward and this will continue in this new era.
Power is already being shifted more to the individual and this shift will continue and will grow. This era of individual empowerment will continue for several thousand years and with it, changes in government, in the economy, in health care, in education will all shift and change. This is really a great time to not only witness this shift, but also to experience it, and in some cases, even assist it.

Lifelong Learning
Retraining and getting updated with new skills needs to be a part of what we expect from our citizens in our new economy. We need to make sure that education and learning are a lifetime expectation for each person. This can no longer be something you do just during or after high school. We need to have an acceptance of this personal responsibility and as such, have training be available to keep our society updated and skilled.
Every person who gets laid off, for example, should be expected to have their job skills updated. We should create different types of retraining programs to help foster people's ability to stay current and updated in these changing markets. We also want to make sure people can quickly and easily transition to new jobs in times of economic change. The concept of setting up apprenticeships and mentoring programs can also help support the transition for people to come into new jobs or help them with the retraining and retooling process.
Retraining and developing new skills are just part of life. The longer we live, the more likely we will need a diverse bag of skills in our pocket to help us transition to the new markets. Setting up a life-long training should be included in the new economic model we are now creating and with it, we also need to start expecting every able bodied person to keep their skills updated and continue with lifelong learning.

Job Creation and Job Retraining
Part of this new era in the job creation process should be to set aside funds not only for unemployment, which we have now, but funds for retraining. Anyone who is placed on unemployment after a certain period of time (such as a month, let’s say) should be placed in some job of retraining program. In this new economy we need to be aware that all jobs will change over time; ALL jobs. And as such, people need to be updated and re-educated and re-trained to keep up with the ever changing world and economy that we find ourselves in.
After World War II, England looked at how they were able to come together and have their citizens focus resources and human capital to successfully fight a War. The saw how this model of pulling together and working for the common good produced their desired outcome of ending the War. Their government made a decision that if they replicated that same model and focus to resolve some of their internal social issues, such as healthcare, they could have the positive outcome they desired. It was then they came together and developed a national healthcare system, for example, so that everyone in the UK had access to healthcare.
The USA can use a similar model by providing a focus to use our time, energy, and resources to resolve the multiple crises’ we face. But stabilizing companies and making sure people stay employed, or get retrained for a new job, needs to be a top priority. We need to keep our people working or get them back to work. This will help us have a more stable foundation from which other changes and improvements in our world can be initiated

Ritual; Stabilizing the Economy
Here is a ritual that I used to provide my personal spiritual energy to assist in the stabilization of the USA economy.
Overview of the Ritual
Prepare a ritual cloth that has a different color for each corner.
- Red may represent north and the earth.
- Yellow may represent South and represent fire.
- The west represents water & may be the color blue.
- East represents air or wind may be represented by green.
Another option is to use a different elements to represent the earth, fire, water, and air. For example, rocks or plants may represent the earth, a candle may represent fire, a feather may represent the air, and water or a sea shell may represent water.
Lay the cloth down with each corner of the cloth facing the appropriate direction.
Take a special goblet or bowl and place in the bowl 4 objects that represent your interpretation of the economy. (I used coins, bills, and a stock certificate. They can be 4 objects that are different or the same but are your representation of what the economy represents). Use what you see as representing economic stability in your mind.
While standing in your ritual robe and in the middle of the ritual cloth, face the north and present the goblet with the symbols of the economy to mother earth. Say a few words or a prayer of thanksgiving to mother earth. Remove one of the economic symbols (such as the coin) and place in the north, mother earth corner.
Now face the fire corner and say a few words of thanksgiving to the fire and that energy of change. Remove one of the economic symbols (such as the coin) from the goblet or bowl and place in the fire corner.
Face the wind corner and say a few words of thanksgiving to the wind and the air energy of freedom and growth. Remove one of the economic symbols (such as the coin) from the goblet ro bowl and place in the wind corner.
Face the water corner and say a few words of thanksgiving to the water energy and that energy of connection and support. Remove the economic symbol (coin) from the goblet or bowl and place in the water corner.- Stand in the middle of the cloth and face the water corner and ask for that energy to combine together with the other elements. In your mind visualize this water energy as representing the connection people have to one another with a through a stable and working economy.
- Face the air corner and ask for that energy to combine together with the other elements. In your mind, visualize the air energy as the energy of freedom that economic stability provides to people and to communities.
- Face the fire corner and ask for that energy to combine together with the other elements. In your mind, visualize the fire energy as the energy of change and progress with the use of a stable and growing economy.
- Face the earth corner and ask for the earth to accept the energies from the water, the fire, and the air, and to combine with the earth to help stabilize the economy and help it rebuild its foundation for a secure and beautiful, stable, future, providing support, connection, freedom, and progress for society.
You can now end the ritual or do a meditation sitting in the middle of the ritual cloth.
Over the next few weeks notice changes and improvements being made in the area of focus you provided in this ritual.
